Fundraising Platform Redesign

Problem

Connecting with constituents can be difficult. Asking for money to fund your campaign is not only a struggle, but can be uncomfortable. Then again, staunch supporters of candidates like to show their support in many ways, beyond campaign donations. Candidates need a way to connect with potential voters, convert them to supporters, fund their campaigns, and help spread the word with swag.

Process

I worked on all aspects of the user experience as well as UI refinements to the desktop, tablet, and mobile experience. In addition to the view showcased in these examples, I also re-structured the admin and back-end/CMS user interfaces which are not accessible to the public.

Solution

Working on an existing platform that only supported one-time donations, I designed a device agnostic solution for not only connecting with constituents, collecting donations, but also purchasing campaign materials, like hats, bumper stickers, shirts, and koozies. In addition to helping candidates meet their fundraising goals, the platform also helped raise awareness and spread the word.
